ORGANIC FARMED EGGS
Hens must have access to an outdoor area for at least 8 hours/day, with a maximum density of 9 hens per m².
When weather conditions allow it, they can go out during the day and enjoy natural light and soil. This allows them to express basic instinctive behaviours, such as rolling in the soil to get rid of lice and scraping the ground in search of worms and insects.
This greatly improves the nutritional value of eggs, increasing their fat, vitamin and mineral content.
Organic reared hens feed on certified organic feeds with multiple cereals. To be considered organic, the grains contained in their feed are grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
According to European Regulation, preventive use of antibiotics used in other production systems is prohibited.
